Darrian D. Botts Biography

Darrian, a Richmond, Kentucky native, is an Associate Attorney at White, McCann & Stewart, PLLC and practices in the areas of civil litigation, employment law, contract formation and dispute, family law, criminal law, business formation and transactions, estate planning and probate, real estate, landlord/tenant disputes, and sports law.

Darrian graduated Summa Cum Laude from Eastern Kentucky University in 2018, with a B.S. in Criminal Justice from the College of Justice and Safety, and a minor in Psychology. Darrian was a Division I Track & Field student-athlete at Eastern Kentucky University, where she competed as a triple jumper, and was the 2017 Indoor Ohio Valley Conference Bronze Medalist. While competing for the Colonels, she also was a member of the women's 4x100 relay team. During her time at Eastern Kentucky University, Darrian was a recipient of the Ohio Valley Conference Medal of Honor, earned honors making the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll list from Fall 2014-Spring 2018, served as the EKU Student-Athlete Advisory Council Track & Field Representative, was a Whitlock Scholar, a Colonel Scholar-Athlete, a member of the Golden Key Honor Society, and a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Darrian was a recipient of Eastern Kentucky University President's Award and a member of the Dean's list from Fall 2014-Spring 2018. In 2015 while at EKU, Darrian received the Madonna Marsden Award for Best Expository Writing in a 100-Level Course, and was the 2018 recipient of the Eastern Kentucky University College of Justice & Safety Outstanding Senior Award. In 2021, Darrian graduated from the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law, where she served as the Public Relations Chair of the Black Law Student Association, was a member of the Student Bar Association, and a member of the Women's Law Caucus.

Darrian began working at White, McCann & Stewart, PLLC, as a Law Clerk in May 2019 and has remained with the firm since that time. Darrian passed the July 2021 Uniform Bar Exam, becoming eligible to become licensed in all UBE Jurisdictions, and was sworn in as a member of the Kentucky Bar Association in October 2021. Prior to becoming an Associate Attorney at White, McCann & Stewart, PLLC in 2021, Darrian also served as a Law Clerk for the Eastern Kentucky University Office of University Counsel, and additionally served as a Judicial Extern for The Honorable Judge Melissa Murphy of the Fayette County District Court. In her free time, Darrian practices Shotokan Karate and volunteers teaching martial arts at the Gin Ryu (Silver Dragon) Martial Arts Academy, LLC in Richmond, KY. Darrian is a member of the Junior League of Lexington, and a graduate of Winchester Leadership. Darrian has also served as a board member of the Model Laboratory School Alumni Association.
